Your use of the network
Network limitations and the capabilities of your mobile phone may affect your ability to receive the service. Your mobile phone must be compatible with the network – for a list of compatible mobile phones, see crazyjohns.com.au/equipment. We may lock your mobile phone to the Crazy John’s Network if we choose to do so.
Eligibility
To be eligible for our Plans you must meet our minimum credit requirements. Your service may be subject to a credit limit. If at any time you reach your credit limit, we may suspend your service unless you choose to make an interim payment.
Crazy Phone Plans
All Crazy Phone Plans are subject to a minimum commitment period of 24 months.

*ETCs apply if your plan is terminated for any reason before the end of your Commitment Period. See ‘Early Termination Charges’ in the attached Crazy Phone Plan brochure for more details.
Your Monthly Commitment
On a Crazy Phone Plan, you must pay us a Minimum Monthly Commitment (monthly plan). Your Minimum Monthly Commitment entitles you to make calls, send messages and use data services worth up to that value during the relevant month, based on the rates, including Bonus Options, applicable to your Plan (we call this your Monthly Included Call Value). You must also pay for any additional usage at the rates applicable to your Plan.
Any unused portion of your Monthly Included Calls for a given month will be forfeited and cannot be accrued for use in subsequent months.
Changes to your Plan
Once you have connected you cannot change your Minimum Monthly Commitment to one of the other levels that we offer for your kind of Plan.
Extras
Under a Crazy Phone Plan, you may be entitled to choose
23 one of the following Bonus Options.
Half Price SMS You receive a 50% discount on the price of all SMS messages sent within Australia to any standard mobile telephone number within Australia
25, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (this excludes ‘premium’ SMS messages).
Half Price Crazy John’s You receive a 50% discount
24 on the call rate for all calls within Australia to other mobiles on the Crazy John’s Network in Australia
25, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The full Call Connect Fee for each call still applies.
Half Price Fixed You receive a 50% discount
24 on the call rate for all calls to standard fixed line phone numbers in Australia
25, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The full Call Connect Fee for each call still applies. Offer excludes some calls.
25 Half Price Family & Friends You receive a 50% discount
24 on the call rate for all calls to up to five standard Australian telephone numbers of your choice1 within Australia
25, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The full Call Connection Fee for each call still applies. Offer excludes some calls.
25 We may change or withdraw Bonus Options at our own discretion.
It may take up to 48 hours for your Bonus Option to take effect – any usage before the Bonus Option is applied will be charged at the standard rate applicable to your Plan.
Terms and Conditions on Bonus Options:
- You may change your Bonus Option by notifying us to get approval. In any case one change is permitted per billing cycle at no charge; further changes will be subject to a fee. However each time you change one of the numbers you have selected for the Half Price Family & Friends Bonus Option, a separate fee will apply.
- Discount applied to the standard call rate (excluding any applicable Call Connect Fee) applicable to the relevant call under your selected Plan. Any applicable international or national roaming charges will be charged at the full rate. Details of roaming charges can be found at crazyjohns.com.au/roaming.
- Offer only applies to SMS messages sent or calls made to standard Australian mobile/fixed numbers, within Australia. Offer does not apply to voicemail, directory assist calls, calls to ’13’ or ‘1800’ numbers, Inmarsat, MobileSat or Iterra calls, calls to ships at sea (12458) or premium service calls or messages. Any applicable international or national roaming charges and IDD charges will be charged at the full rate. Details of these charges can be found at crazyjohns.com.au/roaming.
At the end of the Commitment Period, you will remain on your Plan or, if your type of Plan no longer exists, a comparable Plan. You will no longer receive any Bonus Options.
All Bonus Options are subject to our Fair Use Policy, available on our website at crazyjohns.com.au/terms.
Early Termination Charges
If your Crazy Phone Plan is terminated before the end of your Commitment Period, you will be required to pay an early termination charge calculated as: Minimum Monthly Commitment × 50% × (Commitment Period – Number of whole months spent on contract).
Mobile Internet Packs
You can add a Mobile Internet Pack to your Plan at the time you connect. If you do not use all the data included within your Mobile Internet Pack in any month, that unused data will be forfeited and you cannot accrue it for use in subsequent months.
Blackberry Internet Pack
You can add a Blackberry Pack to your Plan at the time you connect. Blackberry Packs apply only to your use of “Blackberry” internet and email services as provided by Research in Motion, and require a compatible device approved by Us and Research in Motion. Your use of other services will be subject to the charges applicable based on your selected Plan.
Family Plans
Under a Family Plan, you can combine payments for several services into one account. You will receive a single bill for all services on the Plan, called a Family Account. You will be responsible for all charges made to a Family Account. You can add up to nine users to a Family Plan, subject to our approval.
