The BlackBerry Enterprise Solution provides a complete wireless connectivity platform for mobile professionals. It provides wireless access to email, enterprise data, phone, organiser applications and the Internet. This is a fully integrated enterprise solution including innovative server software, advanced wireless devices, wireless network service and essential support programs and services.

How does it work?

BlackBerry Enterprise Solution comprises three key components.

BlackBerry branded or BlackBerry Connect handheld

BlackBerry branded handhelds are integrated devices with wireless email and PDA functionality and the freedom of a mobile phone with Vodafone. Vodafone themed user-friendly menu and the thumb operated track wheel (or track ball) which works like a mouse, make the handheld easy to operate.

BlackBerry Connect handhelds are mobile phones from other manufacturers such as Nokia, Sony Ericsson, or Palm.
The BlackBerry Enterprise Server + Desktop Software

The BlackBerry Enterprise Server software can be installed alongside Microsoft® Exchange, Lotus Domino™ or Novell® Groupwise® mail platforms for secure email access, and simplified management and centralised control for IT departments. A Crazy John's Account Executive can advise you on the software you need.

There are 2 types of BlackBerry Enterprise Solutions:

- Small Business Edition BlackBerry Enterprise Server for up to 15 users.

- BlackBerry Enterprise Server for 16+ users.

Which handheld is right for you?

The BlackBerry Enterprise Solution is available through two different types of handheld.

BlackBerry from Vodafone

There are a number of BlackBerry handhelds available from Crazy John's, combining mobile email, phone and personal organiser in one handheld that's small enough to fit into your pocket. Each handheld has Vodafone's unique icon-based menu that makes it easy to navigate.

BlackBerry Connect

BlackBerry Connect allows you to add mobile email functionality to compatible handhelds. This is ideal if you prefer the functionality and menu structure of a different device from manufacturers such as Nokia and Sony Ericsson, and want to add mobile email.

Pricing

To get the BlackBerry Enterprise Solution up and running, you need a Mobile Email Bundle. They're designed to work with your BlackBerry mobile email service as a cost-effective way to stay in the loop. To choose your bundle, simply estimate approximately how many emails you'll receive or send from your handheld each month. If your usage varies month to month, you can change between bundles as you need.

If data usage on the Mobile Email 30 Bundle exceeds 1MB in any month, you will be automatically upgraded to the Mobile Email 50 Bundle and an additional charge of $25 will apply for that month.

Mobile Internet access

Your mobile email handheld can also be used to go online and surf the web.

BlackBerry Enterprise Solution users on a BlackBerry branded handheld can surf the mobile internet, using the data that is included in your Mobile Email Bundle. Just ask one of our Account Executives to show you how, via the Mobile Internet icon. (Only available on the latest BlackBerry models: 7130, 8100, 8707. Surfing via Vodafone Live! is free.)

BlackBerry Connect users can either Pay-as-you-go (2c per KB, minimum 15KB session) or add a Data Bundle to your Mobile Email Bundle.

Want to make calls?

Your mobile email handheld can also be used to make calls. If you plan to make the handheld your primary mobile phone device, you can enjoy great voice rates with one of our voice plans and integrate it with your Mobile Email Bundle.

With BlackBerry, you can select any Vodafone voice plan. Business customers can choose from Vodafone’s Business Voice Plans and simply add a BlackBerry Mobile Email Bundle.

Non-business customers can choose from voice plans such as the $79 Super Cap or the $149 Mega Cap (not available on Prepay).

If you're likely to only make the occasional call, you'll simply be charged at the following standard rates:

Calls: 1c per second plus 20c flagfall
TXT: 25c per SMS message
International Data Roaming: 1c per KB (minimum 10KB session)

All offers subject to change and available whilst stocks last. 1) Network Locking: Prepaid handsets are locked to the Crazy John’s network, a $70 fee applies if network locking is removed within the first 6 months from activation date. Postpaid handsets are locked to the Vodafone or Crazy John’s Network, charges may apply to unlock, check handset box for details. 2) Credit Expiry: Prepaid - 30 day credit expiry applies, use your credit on standard talk, text and more, some services excluded. Postpaid - 1 month credit expiry applies, Crazy John’s fair use policy applies, the amount of credit available on certain call types is restricted. 3) Crazy Caps: Available to approved customers who connect to the $19/$29/$49/$79/$99 Crazy John’s Cap for 12 or 24 months. Minimum monthly commitment is $19/$29/$49/$79/$99 respectively. The minimum cost to the customer on the $19/$29/$49/$79/$99 plan over 24 months is $456/$696/$1176/$1896/$2376 and over 12 months is $228/$348/$588/$948/$1188, plus any additional usage above the included value, plus monthly handset repayments over the term of the contract if applicable. Early Exit Fee of $9.50/$14.50/$24.50/$39.50/$49.50 respectively x months left on contract applies if not connected for 12 or 24 months. 4) CrazyTalk: Bonus talk time from Crazy John’s to Crazy John’s mobile services within Australia. Prepaid services require an active credit balance (minimum $0.10) to use CrazyTalk. 5) Free Gift: Offer is valid for a limited time and only to approved customers on selected plans. 6) RRP: Refers to the suppliers Recommended Retail Price for Australian retailers.
